We have been working on a website and I'm going to tell you my experience, how we created and how we developed it.
The aim of the work was to create our own business website for advertising the business. We can choose any kind of topics like; sports, music, restaurants, transport, travelling, fashion, photography... I decide to make a restaurant website, because I thought that would be interesting and easy to advertise.
We had to advertise it on the internet and for creating it, we used Google Sites because it is very simple.
The first think that I did was to find other restaurant websites and search in others pages how the make it to take ideas. I spend a lot of time looking for the best one and I recomend you to start more or less with the idea you have in mind and then search a bit, because otherwise you couldn't find the perfect website and you are going to lose time and hope.
Once I choose it, I start my own restaurant website completing it with the food photographs of the real restaurant page.
My restaurant is based in seafood, so I made a menú with tree pages; Plates,
drinks and deserts, and
oysters. Apart of the menú in my navigation bar I have the other usual pages like; Home, Location, Reservation, Photo Gallery, F.A.Q (frequently asked questions) section, About us and Contact.
The major time that I spend in my page after searching for ideas, was copying the pictures and putting their price. That was the worses part, because I have to take an screenshot of the image then download to my drive and finally upload to the website.
Making the other pages was more easy, for the location we used Google Maps and the rest I completed with a Little bit of imagination.
At last I change the background image and I put another to attract my clients.
In general it wasn't so much work, but it takes time.
